Electrical and controls

The right electrician on the right job, and the record to prove it.

Service and project work where arc flash, isolation and lockout are the difference between a routine call and a serious one.

Competency belongs at the dispatch board

Training records usually live with the safety person, and the job gets assigned by somebody else. The first time anyone notices a gap is too often after the fact.

Orientra puts competency in front of the dispatcher at the moment of assignment, without turning dispatch into a safety audit. Everyone stays listed and assignable. Those with a gap are ranked lower with the reason beside their name, and only requirements you deliberately set to block will stop the assignment.

  • Dispatch and scheduling for service and project crews
  • Competencies shown when a job is assigned
  • Trained, observed, demonstrated and competent tracked separately
  • Pre-job hazard assessments on a phone
  • Close-out checks, photos and customer signature
  • Labour, materials, job costing and invoicing

Common questions

Can it stop an unqualified person being assigned to a job?

It can if you want it to. Competency shows up when the dispatcher assigns the job. By default the person is ranked lower with the reason shown, and you can choose to block the assignment for requirements that warrant it.

Does it handle lockout and arc flash procedures?

You can keep your safe work practices, procedures and pre-job checks in Orientra and attach them to the kinds of work they apply to.

Is it suitable for both service and project work?

Yes. Work orders follow a lifecycle you configure in your own words, and crews can be assigned as a group.

Can we use only the safety side?

Yes. Either product works on its own, and you can turn on the other when you are ready.
